چکیده
Etiologies of tricuspid regurgitation are often explored in patients with symptoms right-sided heart failure. Blunt chest trauma is the major cause traumatic valve (TTVR), a secondary type regurgitation. It rare condition; however, it may lead to severe consequences if not treated timely manner. TTVR should be considered patient presenting trauma. In this case, we report case young male who presented after motor vehicle accident due blunt as well patent foramen ovale.

Heart Carcinoid Disease with Patent Foramen Ovale Treated by Mini Sternotomy
This case report was an attempt to present the importance of diagnostic echocardiography and closure of a patent foramen ovale in carcinoid heart disease. Herein, we present a case of a 48-year-old woman with a carcinoid metastasis presenting with tricuspid regurgitation, pulmonic stenosis, patent foramen ovale, and borderline left ventricular ejection fraction on an echocardiogram. Surgical in...
متن کاملEndocarditis of a tricuspid prosthesis causing valvular stenosis and shunting through a patent foramen ovale.
A young intravenous drug user presented with Staphylococcus aureus endocarditis involving the tricuspid valve, which was replaced with a Hancock bioprosthesis. She presented again with fever and dyspnea five months later and was found to be cyanotic. Recurrent endocarditis involving the prosthesis with right-to-left shunting through a patent foramen ovale was documented by echo and confirmed at...
متن کاملIs tricuspid valve really tricuspid?
Advancement in imaging techniques and interventional cardiology procedures have generated renewed interest in anatomy of tricuspid valve complex. The purpose of the present study was to characterize the morphology of tricuspid valve leaflets using objective criteria. Thirty-six embalmed cadaveric hearts were utilized for the present study. Leaflet morphology was studied using newly defined crit...

متن کاملTricuspid valve tethering predicts residual tricuspid regurgitation after tricuspid annuloplasty.
BACKGROUND Tricuspid valve (TV) annuloplasty is recommended for functional tricuspid regurgitation (TR), which is caused by TV annulus dilatation and tethering of the leaflets. However, the impact of TV deformations on the outcome of TV annuloplasty remains unknown. The goal of this study was to investigate the relationship between preoperative TV deformation and residual TR after TV annuloplas...
